CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: The snow covers our garments, but in two months now the sun will be a different sun and earth that stretches white as straw with stony ice will crack and thaw. The smell of earth and meadows is good and what could be better than a brotherly journey to be left in the earth! Paris based artists’ collective FRANCE FICTION (Stéphane Argillet, Marie Bonnet, Eric Camus, Lorenzo Cirrincione and Nicolas Nakamoto) invite you to join them in digging an unfeasibly large hole on Wysing’s site in order to open a space. As the artists say “looking up to heavens sky, we remain in the ignorance of what lies beneath our feet.Yet just a few shovels and pickaxes may be enough to feel in our very arms the whole space we long for.” Come and help them find out what lies beneath Wysing. And help create fictitious versions of improbable tools to be buried in the hole when it is resealed, perhaps to be excavated at some point in the distant future. This event is part of Mark Aerial Waller’s project The Cassiopeia Plan. <Wysing Arts Centre >
